We stayed 15 nights at the superb Ranthambhore Regency Hotel, which is located a short drive from the Reserve. On morning and afternoon game drives, a grand total of 29 game drives, we mostly visited the core zones of the Reserve, but occasionally ventured out into its more remote zones. We had multiple encounters with a total of 12 different tigers, some being particularly memorable! I was amazed at the huge numbers of prey animals - particularly Spotted Deer and Sambar Deer - far more than I remember on previous visits, which bodes well for the Reserve going forwards. Sloth Bears were also in abundance, I saw at least 9 different bears!
