Cats of the Masai Mara

Mara North Conservancy, Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Naboisho Conservancy and Masai Mara National Reserve
Kenya - February/March 2019
A private safari to Kenya's prolific Masai Mara. We deliberately choose to visit during one of the quieter months from the point of view of numbers of visitors. Additionally, over half of the total of 25 days were spent in the fantastic conservancies that adjoin the National Reserve. Here, tourist numbers and vehicles at a sighting are strictly controlled, making for a much more enjoyable experience.
We stayed at three locations, all of which were incredibly good - Kicheche Mara Camp, Kicheche Bush Camp and Topi House.
Although in many ways a repeat of a safari I did in 2017, whereas last time it seemed to be a "Cheetah" safari, this time we enjoyed some of the most superb Lion action I have ever seen. However, the other cats certainly had their moments as well, and we had very good results with Leopard, Cheetah and Serval. All in all a fantastic trip, dominated by the big cats.
My thanks to Safari Consultants for once again putting together a wonderful safari!
