Golden and White-tailed Eagles at Flatanger, Norway
A one week trip to Norway to photograph Norway's Eagles in the depths of winter. Unfortunately, unseasonally mild weather prevailed throughout the trip, heavy rain rapidly clearing any remaining snow. So our opportunity for snow backdrops was lost. However, this Natures Images trip led by the extremely capable Paul Hobson did not disappoint! On two superb outings with Ole Martin Dahle on his boat we saw White-tailed Sea Eagles diving for fish on over forty occasions - great fun to photograph as they swoop down next to the boat to retreive fish thrown by Ole Martin! The Golden Eagles were photographed from a hide, many long fruitless hours watching pouring rain were justly rewarded with two different Golden Eagles coming down to the bait on different days. Amazing!
