New! Dragons, Macaques and Tarsiers, Indonesia

Sulawesi Crested Macaque, Gursky's Spectral Tarsier and Sulawesi Bear Cuscus - Tangkoko Nature Reserve, Sulawesi Island
Komodo Dragons, Komodo National Park, Rinca and Komodo Islands
Indonesia - September/October 2019

This photo tour, led by Nick Garbutt, was especially organised to concentrate on just a few animals, and to do them really thoroughly. We visited just two locations:
Firstly on Sulawesi Island we spent most of our time photographing two endemic animals. The Sulawesi Crested Macaque is a very photogenic primate, only found here, living in troops of 50-60 animals. We spent five days photographing them in the dense forest and on the shoreline. The Gursky's Spectral Tarsier is an amazing tiny nocturnal primate, not much larger than a clenched fist. They eat insects, pouncing on them by springing from tree to tree, sometimes up to 5 metres apart. A spectacular, and very challenging creature to photograph.
Then in Komodo National Park we went on shore seven times in three different locations to photograph the world's largest lizard, an apex predator, the Komodo Dragon. We enjoyed some very special and at times slightly scary encounters!
My thanks to Nick Garbutt, who absolutely maximised our opportunities at each location, and to Wildlife Worldwide for organising this highly successful specialist trip.
